Using Props in Pictures

Are you tired of the same old boring pictures? Pictures are usually all about standing or sitting and then smiling. Sure, we might use different settings and backgrounds to spruce up our pictures but what about using props? Props can be fun and bring something unique and special to a picture.

If there is one thing in my home that I truly treasure it is the pictures of my children. I have spring babies so in just a couple of months all three of my children will be having birthdays. My baby is turning 11. My only daughter will be 13 and my oldest son will be 16.

In order to get great shots of your kids, you need to be on their level. Photos look better when they are taken at the same level as the subject. Since kids are short, you'll need to bend or kneel down to take photos of them.

When I look at photos that were taken of me when I was a child I notice that there were not many action shots. While I realize that it wasn't as easy to take action photos with dated film cameras, I still wonder why there were not more candid photos taken.

Newborn babies are precious. They are small, lovable bundles of joy. However, they do not stay small for very long though. Babies grow quickly and their looks change a good bit during the first few months of life.
