Cameras and Video Gadgets for the Business Traveler

My cousin is not passionate about photography, but his job requires him to carry a video camera on all of his business trips. He uses it to snap a few pictures for his family and to record pictures, documents, and interviews for his boss. Since the primary purpose for him owning a camera is business related he is able to afford the latest and greatest high tech gadgets. (You know the ones that can turn the average traveler into a multimedia professional.)

Lately he has been testing Samsung's new high-definition camcorder, the SC-HMX20. It may be small (it's a 10.9 oz. camcorder), but it somehow manages to pack a 10x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel still image camera, and 8 gigabytes of storage in a compact space. It has a ton of fancy features, but the one I'm sure multitasking photographers will appreciate the most is the ability for the camera to take videos and still images simultaneously.

Another nifty gadget that helps business travelers (or any traveler for that matter) lighten the load is the Pharos Science & Applications Trips and Pics. It promises to be a welcome addition to any traveling kit. It's a GPS attachment that lets you snap pictures and simultaneously record the place and time. It's compatible with any digital camera--the geologger device is bundled with software that allows you to map out your photo locations.

For business travelers who need their pictures ASAP Polaroid has launched a great new product that will eliminate the need to hunt down a Kinkos location. The camera company has designed a mobile picture printer you can take on the road. The new pocket-sized printer allows you to print 2-by-3-inch photos on the go just about anywhere. The printer pulls images from any Bluetooth-enabled camera and churns out color photos in less than 60 seconds.
