Walking into a camera shop is definitely a kid in a candy store feeling for me. I was surprised for a Sunday afternoon the camera shop was actually very busy.

My husband, David finally sent the slide show DVD to his mother yesterday. One of the advantages of living near the FedEx hub in Memphis is we can ship anything and have it to its destination the next day. My mother in law received the DVD today. She called my husband at work crying.

A couple weeks ago I finished creating the photo DVD slideshow of my husband's photos from birth to graduation and I must admit it is awesome. I had spent the day before scanning 120 photographs of my husband.

Any parent could really tell you most of this. Toddlers are pretty simple really. They are free willed individuals who are all about testing their limits and generally doing whatever it is you don't want them to do. That is why they can make some of the most difficult subjects to photograph.

Using a UV Filter

UV filters are probably the most common filters used. Not because they are necessary, but because they protect the lens from scratches and whatnot. Let's face facts; it's far cheaper to replace a $5 filter than to replace a $300 lens, now isn't it? UV filters DO, in fact, serve a purpose.
