Photography allows the capture of memories, the ability to freeze a moment in time and preserve it on a piece of paper for years to come. Photography is one of those hobbies that is a forever thing, and even those that don’t dabble in the more extreme side of the hobby, still have a passion for carrying that camera almost everywhere they go. I am hoping it is to all of you, that the photography blog is helpful to. Please let us know if there is anything that you’d like to see and we’ll get right on it. Oh, and … Continue reading

Photography Does Lead to Scrapbooking

Not all photographers agree that photography and scrapbooking go hand in hand. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I disagree. I think that creative, beautiful photographs should be displayed whenever possible, and that eventually you will run out of wall space and table space, so one should consider a scrapbook. But please read on, because it doesn’t mean what you think it means. A scrapbook is a collection of memories. Photographs collect these memories in a visual sense and when displayed can evoke many emotions in an individual. Free Subscription to Popular Photography

Scrapbooking is my hobby and my money pit. I’m becoming better at it, in part because I’ve been reading the tips in the Photography blog and am shooting better pictures. Better photos make for better pages. People who take their photography seriously are constant students of the art. They take a lot of photos, attend classes and workshops, read, and study on their own. Raw talent only takes you so far. It is no wonder that so many scrapbookers also share a hobby in photography. If you are new to photography or just have been dissatisfied with your pictures as … Continue reading

So with all of the upgrades and advances in our digital technology, what things can you do with digital that was more difficult with film? First, film prints had to be scanned into the computer and then sent wherever you wanted them. Digital photos … Continue reading

100 Digital Pictures Printed and Shipped to You for a Buck

I love my little digital camera. It’s a Canon Elph that we got a couple of years ago. One of the best things about it is that it doesn’t use batteries. My best friend’s camera can go through four double As every month. The Elph battery just plugs in to the wall! A couple hours later, it’s fully charged and ready to go. I figure I’ve saved more than the cost of the camera in batteries alone. We take tons of pictures with it. It has served me well, and made me look like a better photographer than I am! … Continue reading
